Rewarding Good Practices

MMU organizes the Golden Ant Awards to promote the projects that raise the standard of living while continuing urban services and including unique solutions for the problems encountered and that provide examples of good practice; to disseminate the work done on this field; and to reward the institutions and staff who implemented good practices.

Golden Ant Awards, the most prestigious competition both in terms of objective evaluation criteria and the valuable jury members as well as the method of selection, acts as an inspiration to municipalities.

There are different categories such as Disaster Management, Culture and Art, Transportation, Sustainable Environmental Management, Institutional Development, Social Services, Urban Infrastructure, Urban Technologies, and Local Development and Cooperation in the Golden Ant Awards. Projects received online are evaluated by a jury composed of prominent names of practitioners, scientists and private sector representatives, all of whom are experts in their fields, and then the winning projects are publicly rewarded at a ceremony.
